Smaller Streams, Smaller Fish
I spent this week getting away from the crowds on the Pecos (mostly), and got some solitude by hitting smaller streams. Early in the week I got up to Mora Flats. Lots and lots of smaller browns were eager to whack at small terrestrials and caddis dries. As it got close to dusk, the sky over the little river came alive with caddis.
On the way out, the Pecos was fishing as it has been–pretty well. Fewer and fewer stoneflies, though.

Rio Pueblo
Later in the week (after the storms), I was the only person I saw fishing Rio Pueblo. I had a solid couple hours, lots of little browns on caddis (had some really exciting takes on dries) and droppers off dry/dropper rigs. Pools were fishing better than pocket water.
Overall, a good week of lots of little fish on little streams. Good luck out there.
